Basic vs Super Duper Animation

The main difference between a $7K/min (Basic) and a $10K/min (Super Duper) Grumo demo video is the amount of time and resources dedicated during production.

A $7K/min animation allows just enough budget to create a simple yet effective demo video.
A $10K/min animation allows for more time for revisions and more time to work on creating better graphics and a more complex animation.

Here is what extras to expect on a $10K/min demo video:

• Script: our Writers will spend more time studying the product/company and more time polishing the script.
• Graphics: our Illustrators will design more involved and complex characters, assets, and backgrounds. Instead of simple stick men and simplified thick line assets the graphics will have more detail, more colors, gradients, shadows, and look cleaner and more realistic.
• Animation: our Animators will come up with more clever transitions between shots instead of straight cuts.
  – More detailed facial expressions including movement of eyebrows, eyes blinking, and mouth expressions.
  – Where needed the Animator will combine special effects, filters, and 3D objects and moves to enhance the final product.
  (Note: if lip synching is required additional costs will be negotiated before production).

Why two levels of animation?

The reason we have to make a distinction and be clear about this is because the
7k/min budgets is the lowest price we can offer and have it still make sense from
a business perspective and we have to do a better job of managing expectations.
We want to provide videos for start-ups because that’s our first-love and how
Grumo began. But because our business is growing up so fast we have to start
adding in some structure.

Not every video we do falls into one of these two categories but for the sake of ease, we will focus on these two. For projects that rise above 10k/min we are more involved in strategic development, creative development or if the animation calls for higher-level animation requests such as 3-D elements or lip-synching for characters.
